Fresh Look For Our Compostable Liners

Since their inception, our compostable liners have developed in accordance with market demands. This includes introducing a wide variety of sizes, the invention of the ‘re-order ribbon‘ and now most recently our brand new design!

New Look – Same Great Compostable Product

For well over 2 decades, Cromwell has been a proud supplier of compostable liners, which in recent years have become increasingly popular by residents who have to collect organic waste such as food or garden trimmings. These compostable bags will decompose within the normal 6-10 week composting cycle in industrial composting facilities and are accredited to meet the composting standard EN13432.

The New Designs

The new design is based on the BBIA’s recently launched rapid identification system for compostable bags. The BBIA developed this design with its members to help the waste management sector, and in particular organic waste recycling facilities to rapidly, and visually identify compostable from non-compostable bags.

These new designs are an adaption from the former style, but with a more distinct look, showcasing the standards the bags adhere to. This includes the ‘Compostatble Logo’, The 7P Number and the composting standards these bags adhere to. The bags also detail the use of the compostable liner and the timescales the bag decomposes when composted.

The changes in the print design aims to support rapid identification in the waste management process both at source and end of life. Alongside this, the liner design clearly highlights accreditations to combat ‘false claim’, which is a growing issue at present. Despite the change in design, the excellent benefits and features these bags hold have remained unchanged, the popular green colour remains, alongside the resource-efficient characteristics of the liners.
