Bag Donation to Local Dog Rescue Woodhaven

Cromwell Polythene has been a proud resident of Sherburn in Elmet for over 2 decades and we love collaborating with the local community. Over the years we have assisted many community activities, such as sponsorship of local sporting teams, local litter picks, and bag donations. Our most recent Cromwell collaboration was with Woodhaven Kennels & Cattery, in South Milford, where we donated 12,000 T-Shirt style bags, ideal for capturing and containing animal waste.

Woodhaven Kennels and Cattery was established back in 1995, offering services from veterinarian care and grooming to animal boarding and dog walking. Woodhaven is also known locally and on social media as ‘Woodhaven Second Chance Rehoming‘. The team works alongside Selby District Dog Warden to reunite lost pets with their owners and gives second chances to many homeless and vulnerable animals.

The local business consists of both staff and volunteers who help take care of hundreds of dogs and cats each year, working tirelessly to help animals in need get the care and attention they deserve.

On Tuesday, 8th November, the Cromwell marketing team headed down to the Kennels and delivered 12,000 bags. The staff were incredibly appreciative of the donation, expressing how much it would help in their daily responsibilities. During the visit, we learned more about the brilliant work Woodhaven do and met one of their newest residents, a Lurcher named Trudy. Trudy was magnificent and even posed for her photo with the Cromwell and Woodhaven team.

It was a pleasure to meet the Woodhaven team and their puppy Trudy (who is available for adoption) – we look forward to working with them closer next year. If you would like more information on Woodhaven, visit their website.
