As the summer ends, and the Autumn leaves fall, another season begins for us at Cromwell, and that is our second annual Event Season. With only a few months left of the year, there is still plenty of time to squeeze in an exhibition or 2, or in this case – 3 – as October has seen us showcase at LARAC, The Restaurant & Takeaway Show and The Garden Centre Expo.
LARAC 2024
LARAC’s annual Conference and Celebration Dinner, is the perfect platform to showcase our work with the local authority audience. As a proud LARAC, this is a ‘must attend’ show for us, each year hoping to bring something new to the market. With 2024 being a busy year for product development and innovation, this year there was an abundance of products we wanted to showcase!
Those who attended the show were the first to view the brand new design for our compostable liners – these gave the audience a sneak peak of the fresh new look the bags will have in 2025. The new designs are an adaption from the former style, but with a more distinct look for rapid identification. We also had our newly launched compostable gloves ‘Glovelee’, these have taken the foodservice industry by storm, and are slowly becoming popular within a variety of other markets following their FPA Award win. The two compostable items certainly drew customers into the stand and provoked some great conversations about ‘which bag is best’. Alongside this we also had our new packaging solution, poly-pack – which is a resource-efficient alternative to cardboard cartons, alongside this we also brought The rUK Sack, a refuse sack made in the UK from material recovered, recycled and remade in the UK.
Tom, Josh and Edward from our sales team were all on hand ready to help! It was a pleasure to speak to everyone and learn more about the Local Authority sector. See you all at LARAC 2025.
Compostable Gloves Hit the Capital!
There was no rest for the wicked, as just days after the LARAC Conference, our team hit the road again, this time heading to London’s ExCeL to debut at 2 new shows – The Restaurant & Takeaway Show and the Garden Centre Expo. These were the perfect platforms for us to showcase our award winning ‘Glovelee’ Compostable Gloves, which have proven to be an industry hit during their debut year! After many years working within the foodservice sector, it seemed only natural we attended the The Restaurant & Takeaway Show. Here not only did we have the opportunity to showcase our popular food waste compostable liners and accompanying gloves – we also got chance to debut our latest range introduction, our disposable piping bags. A new product for us, but in an existing Cromwell market, these new piping bags are due to be launched in early 2025, allowing for the show to be a great preview of what’s to come!
The Glovelee compostable gloves could also be found just one hall over at the Garden Centre Expo as well. Being a supplier to the gardening, landscaping and agricultural industry, primarily supplying waste management products such as rubble and refuse sacks, these gloves are a well-fitted addition to the bustling range. At both shows the gloves and other recycling products proved to be a huge hit with the audience. The team were able to assist all visitors with their queries, helping find solutions to their questions.

Although the events have finished for this year, we are always on hand ready to help, send out samples or give advice!
