Optimising packaging with gusset depth adjustments
Over the next 12 months, we will be adjusting the gusset depth on selected stock items to enhance the efficiency of packaging for flat-packed products.
The first product to benefit from this update is our BK090C1 line, and the adjustment will be gradually introduced across additional product lines throughout the coming year.
What does this mean for customers?

- Smaller cartons: Thanks to the reduced gusset depth, you’ll notice a smaller box size for selected items.
- Same product performance: The size, strength, and capacity of the bags remain exactly the same—only the way they are packed is changing.
- Improved sustainability metrics:
- Approximately 12.5% reduction in carton weight
- Approximately 20% increase in pallet quantities
- Fewer shipments required = lower carbon footprint
