Sherburn White Rose – A Seven-Year Partnership
We’ve proudly supported Sherburn White Rose Football Club for over seven years, a club deeply rooted in our hometown of Sherburn-in-Elmet. We are immensely proud to have the opportunity to sponsor the Sherburn White Rose Under 9’s squad, in our hat-trick year. From seeing the squad as a fresh-faced group of 6-year-olds, to now, the 2025 champions, their new season has begun, and we are so excited to be a part of their journey again. Before their debut match of the season, we had the amazing opportunity to meet the squad and coach Tom, for a kit hand-out, it was clear from meeting them once again that their enthusiasm has not faltered; they are a determined, hard-working side that represents everything we admire: grit, team spirit, and a touch of flair.
From kit sponsorship to sideline encouragement, we’re there through every goal, miss, and muddy tackle. Supporting Sherburn White Rose isn’t just about backing a football club, it’s about investing in the future of young players and helping keep local sport alive and thriving.
Monk Fryston FC – Where Young Talent Flourishes
Just down the road, Monk Fryston FC is another proud partner of Cromwell Polythene. A newly sponsored team for us, they are a true grassroots football club, Monk Fryston offers a safe, welcoming environment where children and young people can enjoy the beautiful game, whether they’re dreaming of Wembley or just playing for the love of it.
As we have for all our teams, we carried out a litter pick with the squad to clean up the pitch on which they play. It was great to not only meet the squad and clean up the community, but also teach them good values in looking after the environment through the means of litter picks and better waste management.
Sherburn Bears Rugby Club – Built on Strength and Staff Spirit
Rugby is no walk in the park, and Sherburn Bears RLFC know how to bring the thunder – the sporting squad is the third local club that we sponsor, support and admire, and not just from the sidelines. Several Cromwell staff members pull on the Bears’ kit themselves, balancing work life with crunching tackles and breakaway tries.
We are also very pleased to sponsor yet another team of young sporting stars from the Bears, who proudly wear our kit during the games. The young team of boys & girls are also coached by our Quality Control Technician, Alex Lewis, who has been a part of the Cromwell family for almost 2 decades, yet another fantastic inter-staff connection. Alex’s relationship with the team allows us to keep in constant communication with the squad, to help follow their journey through the season, as they sport our kits.
Our sponsorship here goes beyond business. It’s personal. It’s about being part of something bigger than ourselves, on and off the pitch.
