Stock-up before the festive shutdown

November is here, and with just two months left of the year, it is time to start thinking about the festive period… in particular stocking up before the seasonal shutdowns begin.

Why stock up?

Unlike the weather, waste is something you can rely on – it is inevitable all year round, however, there are certain times of the year that we will see an influx, one of these is the festive period. A number of different sectors and industries see a heightened level of waste over the festive season, this includes hospitality, food service and retail sectors which see November and December as their busiest times of the year. With increased footfall, customers and sheer demand, this all results in more and more waste, but not just in the workplace, our households also see a waste influx over the winter holidays! Presents, packaging, wrapping paper and food waste galore – there is no escape from it at home or on the go.

More waste will increase the need for sacks and liners, so it is vitally important that you are prepared and have a good supply to meet demand, sufficient enough to handle the extra pressure. The festive season is likely to increase your stock requirements, so adding extra cartons or even pallets to your order lays good foundations as influxes are highly likely. However, having ample stock is not the only thing that must be considered, we also must ensure we get this supply on time, and this could be affected by changes in working / delivery schedules over the festive period. With a heightened demand of orders, and in a shorter time frame for delivery – get your orders in quickly to beat the end of year rush and closure will help ensure you are fully prepared.

Cromwell’s Dispatch deadlines and festive opening hours

At Cromwell, customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to our team. As such, we are committed to providing adequate notice of our opening hours over the festive period to ensure we meet your order requirements. Our team will be taking a well-earned rest during this time, so please take a moment to note our adjusted opening hours and delivery capabilities.

Tuesday 17th of December: 
Last day of despatch for delivery before the festive period on our economy service. 

Friday 20th of December:

Last day of despatch for delivery before the festive period on a premium 
(customer must be open all day on Monday 23rd)

Deliveries between the festive period:
While there will be no dispatches between 23rd December and 1st January, deliveries can still be made by our haulage partner during this period. However, please be advised that office support for these deliveries will be very limited. If this is critical to your operations, we recommend contacting our team at the earliest opportunity to ensure we can coordinate these deliveries accordingly.

Festive Period Full Opening Hours: 

Closed from mid-day Tuesday 24th December – Re-opens Thursday 2nd January – Normal opening hours resumed.
