On 5 March, Cromwell attended the Foodservice Packaging Association (FPA) Awards, which took place at the Grand Hotel in Brighton, bringing together organisations from across the food service packaging sector to celebrate innovation and collaboration.
It’s a fantastic opportunity for Cromwell to reconnect with partners, customers and industry colleagues who share a common goal. Developing practical solutions that support more resourceful waste and packaging management.
Cromwell supporting the Foodservice Packaging Association
Cromwell has long supported the work of the FPA, which plays an important role in bringing together manufacturers, distributors and packaging specialists to address key challenges across the food service and catering sector.
The FPA Exhibition and Awards highlight progress being made and recognise the organisations helping to drive innovation within food service packaging, so it is always a pleasure to attend.
Cromwell sponsoring the National Distributor Award
We were very proud to sponsor the National Distributor Award at this year’s ceremony.
Distributors play a critical role within the packaging supply chain. They connect manufacturers with the businesses that rely on packaging products every day, from restaurants and caterers to hospitality venues and food producers. Their role goes well beyond simply moving products from warehouse to customer. With all this in mind, the judges were hard pressed to pick a winner, and it was down to our MD Henry Lee to deliver the trophy.
Congratulations to Bunzl on a well deserved win in this category. The award recognises their continued commitment to supporting customers across the food service sector.
Showcasing Cromwell solutions
Before the awards ceremony, we also exhibited a selection of Cromwell’s products designed to support food service and catering operations, including food waste caddy liners, professional piping bags and our FPA award-winning compostable Glovelee gloves (taking home the gold in 2024).
These products reflect our focus on delivering convenient, hygienic and economical solutions for resource management.
Recognition for Keep a Clean Sheet & Celebrating industry talent
Cromwell Polythene was also shortlisted for the CSR Award for our Keep a Clean Sheet initiative. The initiative is based around sponsoring local teams and engaging wth them through litter picks to keep their local community litter-free.
Being shortlisted was a fantastic recognition of the work behind the initiative and its potential to help businesses reduce unnecessary environmental impact.
We were also delighted to see Cromwell’s Joshua Chadwick shortlisted for the Rising Star Award. While the award went elsewhere this year, the nomination reflects the dedication and enthusiasm he brings to the team.
We look forward to working with the FPA and attending the future events
