Compostable Products – Liners
Our expertise spans far and wide across the food service sector, ensuring businesses have access to innovative and compliant products that support efficiency, hygiene, and sustainability. The food service and hospitality sector is a sector that produces high levels of waste, whether this is organic from food waste, packaging or even general waste – it is an industry that always faces an abundance of waste. This can be aided with our supply of waste liners to help capture and contain the rubbish, of which we have a variety of options.

Compostable liners are a popular choice within the food industry as they can help businesses reduce landfill waste by diverting food waste to composting or anaerobic digestion (AD). As opposed to other alternatives such as Polythene liners, compostable will harmlessly decompose in 6 – 10 weeks when used as part of an organic waste collection
scheme, in an industrial composting facility, reducing reliance on conventional plastics. Many food businesses and caterers seek resource efficient alternatives to align with sustainability targets and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Now, with new legislation on recycling coming into force by the Governments, local authorities and commercial waste organisations are beginning to implement separate food waste collection schemes, making compostable liners essential for hygienic and compliant waste separation and collection.
We stock compostable liners in a range of sizes, quantities and capacities, accommodating a range of bin sizes and collection frequencies, whilst also meeting EN13432 standards for industrial composting.
Compostable Products – Gloves
After speaking to many of our food service customers, and experts within the industry, we saw there was a growing need for an alternative to the standard disposable gloves made from traditional material with limited recycling outlets. The call was for a more resource-efficient option, harbouring better alignment with appropriate waste streams – and thus we developed our ‘Glovelee’ Compostable Gloves. The new product won the Foodpackaging Association’s (FPA) ‘Product of the Year’ award in 2024 before it had even been launched into the market. The Award-winning compostable gloves, much like the liners are EN13432 certified for industrial and home composting. These gloves are latex-free, powder-free, and BPA-free, making them ideal for food handling and preparation. They have seen a huge surge in popularity for food preparation and hospitality, and after their usage, they can be placed directly into a compostable lined food caddy, where they will harmlessly decompose in 6 – 10 weeks when used as part of an organic waste collection scheme, in an industrial composting facility, reducing reliance on conventional plastics.

See us at the FPA Awards
Being a proud supplier to the food industry, we joined the FPA as members – this comes with a number of opportunities to attend and support their events where we can network with fellow members of the industry. In March, the FPA are hosting their annual awards ceremony, of which we are pleased to be sponsors, alongside this sponsorship comes a space to be an exhibitor. Here, we will be showcasing all the above products, our compostable gloves and liners, alongside the new piping bags – come by our stand to grab a sample or discuss your requirements; we can help find a solution to your waste management needs.
