As we near the last few months of the year and Summer turns to Autumn, for us another Season arises and that is our highly anticipated ‘event season’. For our team, September and October are always jam-packed with both internal and external events, which also include some of the biggest industry events of the year, one of which being the LARAC Conference and Celebration Awards.
Cromwell are very proud LARAC partners, a collaboration we have maintained for a good number of years, and this helps strengthen our relationships with many of our local authority customers. This partnership gives us the opportunity to attend and sponsor their annual LARAC Conference, a must-attend event for our team year on year. For 2023, the exhibition and award ceremony was held on October 11th and 12th, with Cromwell as a sponsor/exhibitor being at the heart of the action. Managing Director – Henry was joined by his team, Adam, Rosie and Darren, showcasing the services and products Cromwell can provide to the local authorities to enhance their waste management strategies.
The mixed messages and continual changes and postponed legislation throughout the year, has many councils and businesses confused and scratching their heads about best recycling practices. We hope our presence at the show and the discussions have helped guide people on best practices, it also gave us the opportunity to promote our waste sack range which supports many waste management strategies. As well as the great discussions on our stand with customers and prospects, we had the pleasure of wonderful company during the evening awards celebrating dinner too. Seeing the improved new innovations within our industry throughout the awards ceremony just showcases the exciting future of the waste and recycling sector for local authorities.
Visitors who came to our stand were able to see our extensive display of bespoke council sacks, from a variety of local authorities across the UK. This showcased the different councils we have worked with and the different varieties of waste sacks we can supply, from street cleansing sacks and refuse sacks to rubble sacks and compactors. The bags were a great talking point, which also allowed us to promote our UK manufacturing and recycling capabilities, which also piqued the interest of the attendees. Alongside the bespoke printed waste sacks, we also displayed rolls of compostable liners, ideal for food waste collections at kerbside.
