September is here, which means it is time for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning! Are you and your customers taking part?
The Macmillan Coffee Morning has been bringing people together since 1990 and has grown into the charity’s biggest fundraising event. In 2024 alone, more than 52,000 people hosted a Coffee Morning, raising more than £17.1 million for Macmillan Cancer Support.
At Cromwell, this cause is particularly close to our hearts. We have taken part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning ourselves for more than a decade, bringing colleagues together over a brew, cake and some seriously competitive baking.
But anyone who has helped organise a catering fundraiser knows there is a lot more involved than putting the kettle on and slicing the cake.
A lot goes on behind the cake stand
A successful Coffee Morning Fundraiser can involve lots of contact with baked goods, from portioning and arranging to serving and clearing away food.
