We are only 1 month into 2024 and Cromwell already has many irons in the fire, allowing for a busy few months ahead. In March alone we have 3 exciting events our team is thoroughly looking forward to attending.
The FPA Awards
Being suppliers to the food service industry, it is important we remain members of the Foodservice Packaging Association (FPA), putting us at the forefront of the right audience. Alongside this membership, we get the opportunity to sponsor and attend their events, which include their summer activities day and their annual award ceremony. For the past two years, Cromwell has sponsored an award – this year being the ‘Marketing Campaign award’. The FPA Marketing Campaign Award recognises excellence in marketing and promotion by FPA member organisations. Campaigns can include advertising, social media, video, exhibitions, posters, merchandise, websites, email promotions, and print including brochures.
As well as sponsoring an award, our Marketing Manager Joshua Wood has also been shortlisted for the Rising Star Award – which recognises the great talent within the industry and also have 2 product entries in with the chance of winning the Product Innovation Award.. The evening is held on March 7th and we are thoroughly looking forward to the evening and catching up with fellow members of the FPA.
The National Food Waste Conference
Whilst some of the team with be heading to the award ceremony, others will be heading out to meet a similar audience at the National Food Waste Conference organised by Lets Recycle. The National Food Waste Conference will bring together key sectors including food waste processors, food waste producers, waste management companies and local authorities. Here we will discuss the opportunities and challenges that food waste presents and showcase our premium, high quality waste sacks, including compostable liners for food waste and our new compostable gloves, ideal for handling food.
Manchester Cleaning Show
For the past 20 years, we have attended the Cleaning Show, at both their London and Manchester venues and 2024 will be no different. Held on March 13th & 14th, the exhibition is the UK’s premier cleaning and hygiene event for the North of England and Scotland, consisting of 2 days of product innovation and sourcing, demonstrations, seminars and networking. Our 2 decades of attendance speaks for itself, and it is the ideal show for us to exhibit at, this year on stand B10.
Our full sales team will be in attendance over the 2 day show, ready to discuss your waste management requirements, offer advice and guidance, provide samples and simply share knowledge about best practices when it comes to cleaning and waste management.
Alongside these events, we will also be hosting a number of litter picks and clean-ups in March and April, in aid of the GB Spring Clean. This is another campaign we support annually and take part in to help create a cleaner, greener and more resourceful planet.
