The clean lifestyle is something we promote at Cromwell and as such have a ‘clean’ April ahead, as we return to the Cleaning Show in Manchester, and assemble our team of litter pickers for the GB Spring Clean.
Cleaning Show Manchester
It doesn’t seem 2 minutes since we were last speaking about the Cleaning Show, which was held in London last November. But we are back exhibiting once again at their Manchester Show on April 6th and 7th. Housed at Manchester Central, this is a new venue for the industry-leading show, and you can find the Cromwell team on stand D5.
The importance of good hygiene and cleaning strategies is essential, especially during COVID. We continue to see a growing demand for responsible products, which not only meet waste and recycling challenges but also help to combat climate change.
We’ll be showcasing our manufacturing capabilities and range of sacks, bags, and speciality products. These include waste and recycling sacks; bin liners; clinical waste sacks, personal protective equipment. Our polythene products are available from stock or made-to-order, including bespoke printing and packaging requirements. All our waste and recycling range contains at least 30% recycled material, with most items containing 97%.
The team will not only be promoting our new consolidated range but as a fountain of knowledge to provide advice, answer questions and give guidance.
GB Spring Clean
Something else that quickly became an annual event for Cromwell was the GB Spring Clean. Each year Keep Britain Tidy launches their GB Spring Clean, litter picking activity – with waste management at the core of what we do, our team is always keen to join the cause. Armed with our litter picking bags from our own product range, and litter pickers, we head out to a highly littered area in our local community and carry out a clean-up.
Thousands join the cause each year from charities, schools, and businesses across Great Britain, all doing their bit to help keep our environment a litter-free zone. This year will be the 5th year Cromwell has supported the campaign, and we are hoping to see another reduction in local litter, as we have done previously. We will have a number of teams, spread across varying locations including our HQ in Sherburn in Elmet, Leeds, and our Manufacturing & Recycling Facility in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
Over the years we have collected over 100kg of waste from hotspot litter areas – always paying great attention to the materials which we find, and reporting back to Keep Britain Tidy with such findings.
