This week has seen the premiere of Londons first-ever ‘Repair Week‘, a newly introduced initiative to tackle rising waste levels via the means of repair. London Repair week features a range of events, tutorials, hacks, tips and tricks, as well as a showcasing Londons ‘Repair Heroes’.
Councils, businesses and brands ran repair workshop, gave advice and recorded ‘how-to videos’ and well as holding seminars giving repair advice. There was also in-store repairs discounts on offer, and online panel discussions with maintenance experts – to help raise awareness and provide people with a better understanding of the benefits of repairing as well as tips on how to do it.
This newly introduced initiative really caught our attention due to its repair aspect. f worn, broken or faulty items is something we strongly advise here at Cromwell, in order to help reduce your waste level consumption. Just like London Repair week we strongly encourage people to take steps to repair items, as well as continually providing guidance of best practices and tips for fixing broken products.
London Recycles have also educated people on how to repair many households and personal items including showerheads, screws, phones and clothing. Providing a very simple guide to help replenish these items.
